Bringing On the Bad Guys: The Interloper

At the age of 15, I could not revolt and be rebellious at that time due to forces outside my control, so like many introverted teens, I looked to create an escape, but TV, comics, and the movies were filled with the good guys.

Gah.

But in the fringes of Marvel Comics, there was Doctor Doom, Dormammu, and others starring me in the face in the Bring On the Bad Guys. As Marvel Comics heroes were flawed internally, their villains always seemed to be more flawed physically and therefore, wore their history on their skin:

Bring On the Badguys

So on June 1st, through a warm afternoon nap, he came to me in a dream where he wore his history on his skin, and I heard someone call him “Interloper”.

Twenty years later, the origin story of this bad guy is on Indy Planet, and he looks a little like this:

Interloper: Death Takes a Knight

Inspiration does not fall far from the tree of Stan Lee ( And Jack Kirby, Steve Ditko, and the inkers, letterers, and colorists who put that book together).
